Vaani Deaf Children’s Foundation
Vaani means the 'Sound of the Soul'. Vaani Deaf Children's Foundation works to bring communication into the lives of deaf children and their families in and around Sunderbans delta. They have established a centre in Malancha, at the gateway of Sunderban, where they help children develop language and communication skills, and help them to read and write. Rajni Nijhawan Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Vaani Deaf Childrens Foundation, are running a Sadhan in Siliguri catering for around 50 deaf children and their parents. This Sadhan offers the facilities of empowering deaf children and their parents from the villages in and around Siliguri to learn the art of communication, reading, writing and sign-language. Upon receiving a request from Vaani that the Sadhan needed a computer to assist the children with learning computer skills, RNCT donated one Desk-top computer with speakers and UPS to the Sadhan on 20th August, 2018.
